By Mike Morel, ILOG Marketing Director for Manufacturing Industries
Mike Morel

There is no secret behind our success in the manufacturing sector. It is the result of paying close attention to our customers – understanding their business goals and then extending their existing applications to better support their unique needs.

Eight of the 10 largest manufacturers in the world use ILOG software to optimize business operations and accelerate decision-making across a wide range of functions, including compliance checking, pricing, supply-chain execution, procurement and scheduling.

The result: reduced costs, improved customer satisfaction and greater competitiveness.

ILOG among ‘hottest’
Recognizing ILOG as a leading supplier of software to the supply-chain and manufacturing sector, three well-respected manufacturing magazines have placed ILOG in their annual lists of top companies.

MSI and iSource magazines included ILOG in their top-100 lists, and START listed ILOG among the publication’s “Hottest Companies” for the second year in a row. All three cited ILOG’s technological innovation and ability to exceed customer expectations, and the overall performance of ILOG’s products and services.

“Receiving three honors in one year is testimony to the value that ILOG delivers to our customers in the supply-chain management and manufacturing industries,” says Mike Morel, ILOG marketing director of manufacturing industries. “In 2002, ILOG continued to deliver the industry-defining product solutions that enterprise and ISV executives have come to expect from us, not only from our market-leading optimization and visualization technologies, but also from our pioneering business rule management capabilities.”

ILOG software has been used for more than a decade to build custom solutions that complement existing supply-chain management applications by filling the gap between what an off-the-shelf application delivers and what a business specifically needs to be competitive. Likewise, manufacturers have come to depend on ILOG software in rendering production and shipping operations more efficient, customer-centric and cost-effective.

Top lists
  • The MSI “Top 100” is a list of leading suppliers of manufacturing, enterprise and supply-chain applications. Selection is based on a company’s annual revenue and the diversity of its product line. Among the companies sharing this distinction with ILOG are PTC, PeopleSoft and SAP. (MSI: www.manufacturingsystems.com)

  • The iSource “100” lists organizations that help traditional companies make their supply and demand chains more effective and efficient, with innovative enterprisewide solutions and services. ILOG is included with some of its current customers, including Oracle and SAP. (iSource: www.isourceonline.com)

  • START’s “Hottest Companies” recognizes technology providers that “meet or exceed the needs of their customers” in the manufacturing sector. This is the sixth year the magazine has assembled the list, and the second in which ILOG has appeared in it. (START: www.startmag.com)

ILOG’s business rule, optimization and visualization technologies greatly improve resource management, accelerate investment in business process management, and automate policy-driven business procedures and best practices.
