Entigo
Guarantee the warranty
Warranty operations are a huge financial and administrative burden. Anytime their costs can be reduced, the savings go straight to the bottom line.

Entigo Warranty, the enterprise-class solution from Entigo (www.entigo.com), automates the business processes used to manage warranty programs. Through a partnership with ILOG, the new Entigo Warranty 4.1 takes full advantage of ILOG JRules to give users a solution they can update directly, saving them both time and money.

"ILOG JRules provides us with much needed flexibility and agility to quickly address changing business conditions and allow our clients to deliver the most effective customer service," says Dave Pelton, vice president of marketing at Entigo. "Significant labor cost and labor redeployment savings are possible when we can eliminate 80 to 90 percent of manually processed claims. These savings are not only significant for our customers, but provide the end consumer with the benefits of better customer service and response time."

The policies and procedures for handling warranty claims are constantly changing and vary from company to company. ILOG JRules makes it easier to quickly configure and maintain Entigo Warranty with business rules.

The enterprise solution provides such benefits as:

  • Reduced risk and internal warranty costs
  • Improved supplier cost recovery
  • Increased revenue opportunities
  • Greater customer and partner loyalty

The system also supports sophisticated analytics and reporting, which gather crucial information for improving products and further reducing warranty costs.

STP that counts
Maintaining a straight-through processing (STP) solution across an enterprise is expensive. Increasingly, companies are turning to a more dynamic, cost-effective approach: externalizing STP decision logic with business rules – especially when it must be updated frequently. Through an alliance with ILOG, Crowe Chizek (www.crowechizek.com) is extending its STP solution with ILOG JRules.

"Crowe Chizek chose ILOG BRMS because [ILOG] JRules provides the ideal combination of flexibility, scalability and performance that our customers expect from our STP solution," says Rory McClure, executive of Crowe Chizek. "And rather than creating a custom application from the ground up, JRules allows our customers to flexibly implement and maintain their credit policies without the costly use of custom programming."

ILOG JRules gives the business users of Crowe Chizek’s new STP solution greater control over their processes and workflows. They can introduce policies and best practices directly into the system. The result is a far more flexible end-to-end solution.

In addition to ILOG JRules, Crowe Chizek’s STP solution incorporates FileNet P8, a Web-based portal run from a J2EE application server. This single interface lets users, administrators and developers perform all their document management, business process management (BPM) and Web content management tasks. ILOG and FileNet (www.filenet.com) formed a partnership earlier this year to integrate their market-leading products in order to increase and extend the value of BPM systems.

The STP system is one of the innovative business solutions that Crowe Chizek provides for assurance, consulting, risk management, tax and technology services. Celebrating more than 60 years of "Building Value with Values," Crowe Chizek is one of the top 10 public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, serving clients worldwide as a leading member of the Horwath International network of public accounting and consulting firms.
