SAP
SAP
Portal opens to rules
With its new “Powered by NetWeaver” status, ILOG JRules can be used by business and IT users to better manage their policy-intensive decision services and processes through the SAP NetWeaver Portal component of the SAP NetWeaver platform.

The NetWeaver platform supports the mySAP Business Suite of business applications, the SAP xAPPs family of composite applications, and solutions built by SAP partners. It unifies integration technology into a single platform, and is included in business applications to enable change and reduce the need for custom integration. ILOG JRules, the top business rule management system (BRMS), complements SAP’s Enterprise Service-oriented Architecture vision by providing a higher level of flexibility and control for automating business policies and centralizing business rule management.

Organizations can use ILOG JRules to access and manage their business rules through NetWeaver Portal, and take full advantage of the time and cost savings that come from having business users directly implement policy changes in applications.

With more than 700 customers, many in the Global 2000, ILOG JRules leads the BRMS market. It has become an essential part of business process management and service-oriented architecture initiatives worldwide. Its integration with NetWeaver serves as the latest milestone in ILOG’s long business and technical relationship with SAP.
