ILOG JRules 6.5
Bringing you even more
The new ILOG JRules 6.5 is even more of what you want in a business rule management system (BRMS). To be released in December 2006, ILOG JRules 6.5 further enhances the usability and performance offered by our market-leading BRMS.
Policy managers will benefit from changes to ILOG JRules’ Rule Team Server (RTS) for authoring and managing rules throughout the business rule life cycle. These changes include semantic queries, customization that lets users adapt the RTS look and feel to their own standards, and the ability to query language. Developers will be glad to learn that ILOG JRules’ Rule Studio works with Eclipse 3.2, the latest version of the widely used open-source integrated development environment. In addition, we have continued to optimize Rule Studio and improve its deployment speed.
ILOG JRules 6.5 will also deliver several usability enhancements for Rule Scenario Manager (RSM), our rule testing and simulation module. Some of the key changes include support for input and output data structured in business terms, and for multi-instance MS Excel input, as well as improved organization of testing artifacts in the RSM Console and Rule Studio.
More for SOA
ILOG JRules 6.5 is uniquely suited for formulating and implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) decisioning, or “transparent decision services.” The BRMS provides functionality to manage these services and achieve SOA agility and flexibility through service reuse. ILOG JRules 6.5’s SOA management features include:
- Impact analysis on decision services
- Runtime monitoring
- Version management for decision services
- Integration with IBM WebSphere’s Process Server and Integration Developer.
