ILOG Races in Telecom Regatta

ILOG sailed to third place in a regatta held for telecom companies and suppliers June 19-20 at Concarneau, France. It was the first-ever Régate des Télécoms, and it attracted more than 150 participants. Among the companies represented were several longtime ILOG customers, including France Telecom and Cap Gemini. ILOG participated in the amateur division, running an open-class sailboat bearing the company’s new logo on its spinnaker. Its crew was shanghaied from the French telecom team, and comprised Cédric Charbonnel, Michel Delalex, David Le Douarin, Jean-Jacques Lohéac, François Meyer, Eric Raymond and Philippe Toyriont. They practiced several weekends in a row in preparation for the race, which was organized by Lucent Technologies, a leader in the communications industry. It gave the telecom players an opportunity to compete and socialize in something other then business. Plans call for the regatta to be held again next year.

ILOG Attends Inter-Airport Asia

ILOG participated in the Inter-Airport Asia trade show April 14-16 in Singapore. Held biennially, the exposition gives companies an opportunity to showcase their cutting-edge products for the air industry.

More than 100 exhibitors took part in the show, and ILOG Asia and Silicomp Asia, a developer of software for the transportation industry, staffed a booth where they demonstrated applications for managing resources at airlines, airports and air cargo services. Featured at the booth was an airfield lighting control and monitoring system based on ILOG Views and built by Silicomp for the Singapore Changi Airport. Remi Lissajoux, ILOG transportation industry manager, was also on hand to lend his expertise in fielding questions.
