Our alliances expand the range of possibilities for everyone involved. Our partners gain an exclusive level of access to our technologies, expertise and worldwide network of offices and services, while we typically gain new market share for our products.
With our software, Prima Solutions will implement insurance solutions with greater speed and confidence, and Shanghai FirstTech – another recent ILOG partner investment – will offer a broader range of applications to China, a market hungry for information technology.
Partnering with ILOG helps companies become more competitive and successful.
In this issue of the Connection, we report on five of our partnerships and invite you to learn more about our Alliance Network Program.

Prima Solutions
Stake in insurance market
By buying a 33 percent ownership interest in Prima Solutions, a Paris-based provider of insurance software platforms (www.prima-solutions.com), ILOG has established a solid foothold in the insurance market.
Prima was among the first companies to develop insurance platforms that leverage service-oriented architecture (SOA). The company’s IBCS reference object model provides an incremental development approach that reduces costs and risks in building underwriting and claims applications.
The agreement between the two companies allows ILOG to resell IBCS, which is a natural fit for ILOG’s business rule management systems: ILOG JRules and ILOG Rules
for .NET. They accelerate the implementation of SOA solutions by externalizing application decision code to facilitate its modification
and management by both business and IT users.
Built by insurance experts and object-oriented specialists, IBCS encompasses more than 100 core processes and 1,000 classes spanning policy domains for life, reinsurance, and property and casualty. Prima lists several leading insurance companies among its customers, including CNP Assurances, Swiss Life and Groupama/Gan.
