Gartner Magic Quadrant
ILOG JRules makes the grade 3 years running
ILOG has made the leader’s quadrant of Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Business Rule Engines” for the third consecutive year.
Gartner, Inc., (www.gartner.com), is the leading information technology research and advisory firm. To be included in the Magic Quadrant, a candidate must perform well today, have a clear vision of the market’s direction and continuously build competencies to sustain its market leadership. According to the report, vendors in the quadrant are more likely to earn high revenue from this market and have high market share in terms of customers and products that are of interest to a wide audience.
“The number of rated vendors has increased by 15 percent [compared with last year], but the actual number has increased even more,” writes Gartner Vice President and Distinguished Analyst Jim Sinur. The report also notes that “all indicators point to a growing market.”
Gartner refers to business rule engines as an “agility-focused technology” alongside business process management, Web services and model-driven generators.
“There is a premium on agility for most business sectors today,” says Mr. Sinur in the report, “and we only expect the demand for agility to increase during the next 10 years.”
ILOG’s business rule management systems – ILOG JRules, ILOG Rules for .NET and ILOG JConfigurator – create flexible enterprise architectures that involve business users.
This fundamental change in how software is maintained gives organizations the ability to respond more quickly to dynamic market and business conditions. ILOG is proud to once again be recognized in this important report.
