ILOG Invitational 2003
Driving agility with ILOG
Senior executives from several U.S. companies attended the first-ever ILOG Invitational seminar and golf tournament to learn how an ever-growing number of global companies are achieving greater agility and competitiveness with solutions built with ILOG software.

Held in Orlando, Florida, as part of Gartner ITXpo, the seminar included three guest speakers. The first, Lisa Fiondella, senior vice president of Business Solutions at Equifax, spoke on the use of ILOG JRules as a key component of Equifax's integrated platform, which leverages commercially available software tools in combination with existing Equifax technology. The other guest speakers were Brad Jensen, senior vice president of Sabre Airline Solutions, who described the important role ILOG software plays in his products ; and Chris Preston, director of BPM Products at FileNet, which has formed a partnership with ILOG to bring greater agility to business process management (BPM) customers through ILOG JRules.

Solutions for government
Representatives from several French government ministries and private companies recently attended an E-Government Executive Breakfast hosted by ILOG. Held in Paris, the ILOG Executive Breakfast Series seminar gave high-ranking executives an opportunity to discover how ILOG software enables governments worldwide to run operations more smoothly and efficiently.

The seminar began with a speech from Maryvonne Cronier, CIO of Frances Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Maladie des Travailleurs SalariƩs. She spoke on using business rules in processes at public and semipublic organizations. Arnaud Dos Santos, project manager for government systems at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, described the use of ILOG JRules by the National Assembly for Wales in awarding farm subsidies.

ILOG CEO Pierre Haren spoke briefly on the ability of business rules to give administrative services more agility, efficiency and control. Pierre-Henri Clouin, ILOG industry marketing manager for government, built on Mr. Harens message in his presentation, saying governments are rapidly adopting business rules to ensure the quick and consistent application of policies.
