Sabre Airline Solutions
Smoother flight for airline HR
A large airline can have thousands of employees spread throughout the world, making its administrative operations highly complex.

Sabre Airline Solutions captures essential personnel management functions with the Sabre® StaffAdmin™ employee tracking and assignment system. Built with ILOG JRules™, a key offering in ILOG’s Business Rule Management System (BRMS) product line, the Sabre Airline Solution provides a flexible platform for creating, storing and administrating work and attendance rules.

The StaffAdmin system is used in employee administration, roster assignment and outage coverage. It assists in tracking employee outage, leaves of absence, work attendance and scheduling issues. It also provides graphs and data representing the scheduled coverage vs. the required coverage necessary to maintain corporate service levels.

With the StaffAdmin system, Sabre Airline Solutions equips human resource personnel with a self-service solution. As company policies and industry regulations change, they can be immediately reflected with the StaffAdmin system, which incorporates a business rule platform that provides an easy-to-use rule builder for stating conditions. Changes to business rules can be deployed throughout an airline through a central repository.

Sabre is the leading provider of technology, distribution and marketing services for the travel industry. Its Airline Solutions use ILOG CPLEX, ILOG JViews and ILOG JRules in planning, scheduling, transaction and policy automation applications. Sabre's use of ILOG JRules is another example of the company's commitment to delivering innovative solutions.

"Our customers often tell us that they are swamped with admin work. They have a multitude of tasks to perform, and have to do them in great volume. With the StaffAdmin system, they automate their work, and use ILOG's JRules to simplify and expedite the introduction of policies and regulations."

BridgeSpan
A bridge to the future
Mortgage lenders contend daily with regulations that are constantly changing, and run the risk of incurring heavy costs should they make a mistake and fail to fully comply.

BridgeSpan Inc. is reducing the headaches of this compliance issue with solutions that automate the settlement and mortgage closing process. To further ensure the agility of its solutions, BridgeSpan has begun using ILOG JRules™, a key offering in ILOG's Business Rule Management System (BRMS) product line.

In BridgeSpan's internal workflow system, ILOG JRules enables business users such as compliance agents to use business rules to quickly and easily introduce new regulations and implement them throughout the enterprise.

Hanseatic Bank
Higher score in banking
Compliance is a must in banking, but when policies and regulations are introduced, months can pass before the IT department can fully reflect the new constraints in the automated systems for handling customers' requests.

Hanseatic Bank in Germany has overcome this problem with a new credit underwriting and scoring application based on ILOG JRules™, a key offering in ILOG's Business Rule Management System (BRMS) product line. The system uses business rules to capture and deploy best practices, and apply new policies and regulations. ILOG JRules keeps the business rules separate from the rest of the application, enabling authorized bank personnel to directly update the rules to ensure the bank's rapid and consistent compliance with new regulations.

"Hanseatic Bank employs more than 250 clerks who all need to follow the same internal rules and regulations in order to provide consistent customer service," says Stephen Klimmek, head of the project at Hanseatic Bank. "Using ILOG JRules, we can ensure consistency and reduce processing errors, while improving productivity through an automated system."

Part of the Otto Group, the private bank clears an estimated 25,000 credit applications annually, for a total of nearly 300 million euros. The bank expects the new application to help increase customer satisfaction, and ease introduction of products and services.

BOCO Inter-Telecom
Staying connected
Automated alarm filtering and correlation applications keep phone lines open by precisely directing technicians to faults in their telecom systems.

BOCO Inter-Telecom has adopted ILOG's Rules™, a key offering in ILOG's Business Rule Management System (BRMS) product line, to accelerate the development of a rule-based platform for these network management applications. The new platform will enable wireless operators to pinpoint problems more quickly and accurately.

Among China's leading system integrators, BOCO Inter-Telecom delivers software solutions used by China's top wireless services, including China Unicom and China Mobile. With ILOG Rules supporting the new platform, the SI's customers will be able to quickly add or modify business rules to implement the decision logic used by the applications, without altering their code.
