New online demo
Changing BPM’s rules
Experience our new online demo on business process management (BPM) solutions, and you’ll quickly learn why so many Global 500 companies use ILOG’s business rule management system (BRMS).
“Changing the Rules of BPM with BRMS” is a 15-minute tour de force of our market-leading technology and the critical role it plays in automating decision making. Through a series of animated graphics, the demo shows exactly how our BRMS works with a variety of BPM solutions, the services ILOG provides, and the integration of our BRMS with our partners’ BPM platforms.
BPM is heavily used in several industries, including insurance, government and financial services. Users depend on it to stay agile, competitive and compliant with regulations in processing information quickly and accurately. ILOG BRMS supports BPM at primary decision points, giving companies the granularity needed to precisely fill orders and meet market demand.
“This demo is a terrific way to see how we make BPM solutions far more flexible,” explains Alain Gendre, BPM and SOA program manager at ILOG. “You’ll come away from it understanding how we can complement your current BPM solution.”

ILOG Australia
ILOG in the land of Oz
ILOG has opened a new office in Sydney, Australia, to better support its growing number of local customers.
ILOG has served the Australian market for nearly a decade. With the increasing popularity of ILOG CPLEX and ILOG JRules and a greater demand for business rule management systems in Australia and New Zealand, ILOG’s new office at No. 3 Spring is perfectly located in the central business and IT hub for the region.
Headed by Stéphane Marouani, a 10-year ILOG veteran, the office provides account and consulting support. Like all ILOG offices, it is connected to the company’s worldwide network of sales representatives, software consultants and customer services, enabling it to quickly deliver the products and expertise needed by local customers.
Already, ILOG CPLEX is widely used by Australia’s mining companies, and ILOG JRules is rapidly catching on in the region’s banking and financial services industries.
“Demand for our products is now strong enough to ensure the success of an ILOG office here,” says Mr. Marouani. “Word is spreading fast, and more companies are calling us each day.”
The new office can be reached directly by telephone at +61 (0)2 8249 4355 or e-mail at info-au@ilog.com.
APICS 2005
The next generation
ILOG introduced APICS 2005 attendees to a new application -- ILOG Plant PowerOps (PPO) -- and laid the ground rules for the next generation of production solutions. APICS, the Association for Operations Management (www.apics.org), holds the top annual event for operations management professionals. Last October, it brought together more than 2,500 people for three days of training and networking in Kansas City, Missouri.
ILOG showcased ILOG PPO as a new application for planning and detailed production scheduling, and two ILOG product managers – Thomas Dong and Chris Hane – gave an educational presentation, titled “Keys to Success in Detailed Scheduling.”
They covered 10 key concepts for defining the next generation of advanced planning and scheduling solutions. For more information about the presentation, go to www.ilog.com.
