ILOG JViews Becomes One of The First Graphics Tool-Kits Validated "Ready for IBM Rational Software"

IBM RATIONAL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE 2005, LAS VEGAS – May 25, 2005 – ILOG® (NASDAQ: ILOG; Euronext: ILO, ISIN: FR0004042364), a leading provider of enterprise-class software components and services, today announced that the ILOG JViews™ 6.5 family of products is one of the first graphics toolkits to receive IBM’s “Ready for IBM Rational software” validation.

The “Ready for IBM Rational software” validation enables ILOG customers to use JViews when building applications with the IBM Rational Software Development platform, and underscores ILOG’s ongoing commitment to bringing visually-rich thin clients and displays to an even broader base of developers worldwide. The announcement was made today at the IBM Rational Software Development Conference 2005, which is being held at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas from May 23-May 26.

“ We are pleased that ILOG has joined the growing ecosystem of partners who have had their solutions validated as ‘Ready for IBM Rational software,’” said Claudia Dent, vice president of product management, IBM Rational. “Through the combination of ILOG JViews and the IBM Software Development Platform, customers now have additional components with which to translate complex data into usable information and create the exact feature-rich user interface they want.”

ILOG worked closely with IBM to ensure that ILOG JViews 6.5 interoperates with IBM Rational Application Developer, IBM Rational Software Architect and IBM Rational Web Developer. By using ILOG JViews, developers are able to quickly and easily create visually-rich thin clients, work with out-of-the-box JavaServer Faces rich components, and automate deployment of the resulting web applications.

Packaged as standalone products, the ILOG JViews family includes JViews Diagrammer 6.5, JViews Charts 6.5, JViews Gantt 6.5, JViews Maps 6.5, and JViews Telecom Graphic Objects (JTGO) 4.5. These products are designed so that users have greater visibility, collaboration and control to create graphics applications for a variety of needs: monitoring, supervision, planning, analysis, designing and diagramming. By using JViews products, developers can save 50 to 80 percent of development time in creating sophisticated graphical user displays, while making vast quantities of data more comprehensible and manageable to their business users.

The Eclipse-based IBM Rational Software Development Platform is the most complete, open, modular, proven and integrated cross-platform solution for enabling organizations to develop innovative software that sets them apart from their competitors.

ILOG has been a member of IBM’s PartnerWorld program since 2004, and also works with IBM’s Business Performance Management Initiative. In June 2004, ILOG launched ILOG BR Studio™, one of the first business rule technologies for the Eclipse platform --BR Studio 2 is also validated “Ready for IBM Rational software.” Earlier this year, ILOG JViews 6.5 became one of the first graphics toolkits for the Eclipse platform.
