ILOG Introduces JRules Certification Program
Certification ensures ILOG customers have ready access to skilled BRMS practitioners
SUNNYVALE, Calif. and PARIS – Sept. 3, 2008 - ILOG® (NASDAQ: ILOG; Euronext: ILO, ISIN: FR0004042364) today launched a certification program for its ILOG JRules®, Business Rule Management System (BRMS)to broaden the skill base for BRMS products and help ensure that ILOG customers have ready access to certified IT experts trained in BRMS products. For customers, certification ensures a consistent level of product knowledge amongst practitioners. By introducing an objective measure for evaluating a practitioner’s product expertise, the program enables customers, partners and consultants to develop and maintain key ILOG product and methodology skills. For customers, certification ensures a consistent level of product knowledge amongst employees and service providers. For practitioners, certification demonstrates commitment to excellence and ensures recognition for specialized knowledge and dedication to professional development.
The program has three levels of certification, Gold, Silver and Bronze, each demonstrating a different level of familiarity with the product. The certification program is open to all BRMS practitioners including ILOG customers, system integrators, independent developers and consultants, as well as ILOG employees.

ILOG certification exams are created by ILOG experts and are based on current product releases, best practices and methodological advances. The three different levels of certification offered accommodate varying levels of experience and knowledge:
- JRules 6 Developer Bronze Certification
Demonstrates that the practitioner has a basic grasp of key concepts covered in the JRules 6 Developer training offered by ILOG.
- JRules 6 Developer Silver Certification
Demonstrates that the practitioner has a deep understanding of ILOG JRules 6, and has used the JRules 6 in one real application.
- JRules 6 Developer Gold Certification
Demonstrates that the practitioner is an expert ILOG JRules user with mastery of advanced concepts and comprehensive knowledge of the product's application programming interfaces (APIs).
ILOG’s has entered into an agreement with Pearson VUE, a company which will administer the various levels of the program independently through a network of more than 4,000 testing centers worldwide to ensure an independent assessment and administering of the program.
