Find Rules

You can save a search as a rule query file (FileName.rqx) and use the search to filter rules when you publish them, and when you create a ruleset.

The following table describes the commands in the Find Rules window:

Command	Description
Browse	Enables you to add and remove rule projects to and from the Look in field.
Find Now	Finds the rules in specified rule projects that match the specified criteria.
Stop	Stops the Find operation.
Help	Provides help about the Find Rules window.
Close	Closes the Find Rules window.
Load	Loads a saved search.
Save	Saves the current search in a file with extension *.rqx.
Clear	Clears the list of search criteria.
Remove	Removes the selected criterion from the list of search criteria.
Change	Applies changes to the selected criterion in the list of search criteria.
Add to List	Adds a new criterion to the list of search criteria. A search criterion is defined by the Property, Condition, and Value fields.

The following table describes the fields in the Find Rules window:

Field	Description	Default Value
Look in	The rule project(s) to search in. You control the value of this field with the Browse command.	The rule project that was selected in the Rule View when you clicked the Find Rules command.
Find rules that match these criteria	The list of criteria for finding the rules. Rules that meet the criteria in the list are displayed in the Find Rules Results window.	none.
Match	Determines if all or just one of the criteria must be met for a rule to be included in the results list.	All
Property	A property of the rule. The list of options is the list of rule properties, including custom Rule properties. See The Properties of a Business Rule.	Name
Condition	The operator for the criterion. The list of options changes according to the value of the Property field.	is
Value	The value to be matched. The possible values change according to the value of the Property and Condition fields.	The default value for this field changes according to the value of the Property and Condition fields.
