View and select rules using the RuleDoc Outline

The RuleDoc outline section of the RuleDoc pane lists the names of all the rules in the current document. By default, rules are listed in the order they appear in the document.

You can use the RuleDoc outline to quickly navigate through and select rules in your RuleDoc.

To select a rule

Click the name of a rule in the RuleDoc Outline list.

The rule is selected in the document and the properties of the selected rule are shown in the Rule Properties list.

To modify and sort items in the RuleDoc Outline

Click the header of any column to sort the list by that column. Click a second time to reverse the sort order.

To return to the default sort order, click the Sort rules according to their position in the document button.

To show additional information in the RuleDoc outline

Click the Show Details button.

A list of available rule properties appears.

Select an item in the list.

A new column is added to the RuleDoc outline showing the value of the selected property for each rule in the list.
