You can cut, copy, and paste rules using the standard Word clipboard commands, or using the commands provided in the RuleDoc pane.

To cut a rule
  1. Place your cursor anywhere in the rule that you want to cut, or select the rule by clicking its name in the RuleDoc Outline section of the RuleDoc pane.
  2. Press CTRL+X
  3. Or:
    On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Cut.
    Or:
    In the RuleDoc Outline section of the RuleDoc pane, click Cut.
    The rule is removed from the document and copied to the clipboard.
To copy a rule
  1. Place your cursor anywhere in the rule that you want to copy, or select the rule by clicking its name in the RuleDoc Outline section of the RuleDoc pane.
  2. Press CTRL+C
  3. Or:
    On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy.
    Or:
    In the RuleDoc Outline section of the RuleDoc pane, click Copy.
    The rule is copied to the clipboard.
To paste a rule
  1. Place the insertion point where you want to insert a previously cut or copied rule.
  2. In the RuleDoc Outline section of the RuleDoc pane, click Paste (or press CTRL+V).
  3. The rule is inserted at the cursor position.
To delete a rule
  1. Select the rule you want to delete by placing your cursor inside that rule in the Rule Editor.
  2. In the RuleDoc Outline section of the RuleDoc pane, click Delete Rule.
