With Sentence Completion mode enabled, when you insert an option from the completion menu, placeholders are also inserted. Enable Sentence Completion mode if you prefer to build phrases by clicking placeholders and selecting options from the completion menu.

With Sentence Completion mode disabled, only the section of the suggested phrase up to (but not including) the next placeholder is inserted. Disable Sentence Completion mode if you prefer to type phrases directly from the keyboard.
