ILOG Rules for .NET User Guides > ILOG Rule Solutions for Office > Writing and editing rules > Identify and fix problems with your rules > Highlight and correct errors using the Problem List

Any errors in your rules are highlighted in the document with a wavy red line and listed in the Problem List section of the RuleDoc pane.

Note
For help with fixing decision table errors in Microsoft Excel, see Validate decision tables.

To identify and correct an error in a rule
  1. Hover the mouse over a highlighted error in the document to display an error tip icon, then move the mouse over the error tip icon to see a description of the error, then click the error tip icon to display a list of suggested fixes.
  2. Or:
Right-click an error to quickly access the list of suggested fixes.
    Or:
Right-click an error in the Problem List.
  3. Click one of the suggested fixes to correct the error, or correct the error manually by typing directly in the document.

Note
If the standard Word shortcut menu appears when you right click an error in your RuleDoc, click anywhere inside the error to place the insertion point in the error instead of selecting the entire error, then try again.
