A convenient way to help you keep track of changes to a RuleDoc is through the Alerts mechanism of Rule Team Server, which lets you be notified by e-mail of any changes. You can specify how frequently you want to receive alert messages: immediately or as daily or weekly summaries.
Since the Alerts mechanism works with e-mail addresses, you do not have to be connected to Rule Team Server to receive the notifications. You or someone else must connect to Rule Team Server to activate the Alerts mechanism.
To activate the Alerts mechanism for a RuleDoc

Locate the RuleDoc or Decision Table in the rule document library on ILOG Rule Team Server for SharePoint.

Point to the file name, click the arrow that appears, then click Alert Me.

On the New Alert page that appears, specify a name for your alert, under what circumstances and how often you want the alert to be sent, and then click OK.

If your user account does not already have an e-mail address associated with it, you will be prompted to enter the e-mail address where you want the alert messages to be sent.
