Rule properties contain information about a rule or ruleflow, such as the name of the rule, the author, or the date the rule was last modified.

Each rule or ruleflow has a set of default properties. Your business rule application may define additional custom properties, such as a rule's expiration date, the line of business to which it applies, its status, and so on.

You can insert a rule property into a RuleDoc and edit its value directly in the document, or you can use the Rule Properties section of the RuleDoc pane.

Read-only rule properties cannot be modified and are grayed out in the Rule Properties list.
