ILOG Rules for .NET User Guides > ILOG Rule Solutions for Office > Working with rule properties > Move or copy a rule property

Once inserted into a RuleDoc, you can move or copy a rule or ruleflow property content control using either drag and drop, or by cutting/copying the content control and pasting it in a new location.

Note
While you can move or copy a rule property into another rule, you cannot insert rule properties inside a Rule Body content control.

If you move or copy a rule property content control outside of the rule with which it is associated, it will remain connected to the original rule. However, if you move a rule property into another rule, it will be automatically associated with the new rule.

If you copy a rule property and paste it into a new rule, the original content control will remain connected to the original rule, whereas the copy will be associated with the new rule.
