ILOG Rules for .NET User Guides > Rule Studio > Writing Rules > Working with Decision Tables > Using Categories with Decision Tables

As with business rules you can control access to certain parts of the business object model using categories.

To categorize a decision table
  1. In the Decision Table Editor, click the top-left cell of the decision table.
  2. Open the Properties window for the decision table.
  3. To open the Properties window, right-click in the decision table, and on the shortcut menu click Properties.
  4. In the Categories property, enter one or more categories for the rule.
  5. You can type directly into the Categories box separating each category by a comma, or click the ellipsis (...) at the end of the box to open a string editor, which is easier to use for entering long lists of categories.
