ILOG in the TeleManagement Forum

For the past 15 years, ILOG has developed and packaged solutions dedicated to the telecom industry. Since 1998 ILOG has been a strong contributor to the TeleManagement Forum (TMF), and has consistently participated to innovative catalyst projects and industry research groups. ILOG has also regularly delivered presentations during TMF conferences on the future of network management applications.

ILOG visualization-based solutions have become a de facto standard in the telecom industry, and are the reference for Human Machine Interface (TMF046). ILOG business rule management tools have helped operators deploy and manage bigger networks by implementing reactivity and flexibility into processes and event management.

ILOG-based solutions have been adopted by 15 of the world's top 20 carriers (implemented into their network and service management systems), and by 18 of the world's top manufacturers (implemented into their element management systems).

ILOG NGOSS Compliance Solution for the TeleManagement Forum
ILOG has signed an exclusive business agreement with the TeleManagement Forum to deliver a true NGOSS Compliance Web Service.

The ILOG Compliance Web Service helps solution providers and service providers by testing the compliance of their product with regards to the NGOSS architecture principles (TMF050 recommendations). This Web service enables solution providers to leverage quality and to speed up their solution's time-to-market.

ILOG JRules is deployed as a Web service, and is used to validate the compliance of the application against NGOSS requirements. NGOSS requirements are translated into business rules. Software vendors can upload online the XML files describing their applications and get an immediate reply in the form of a compliance report that is automatically generated.

ILOG also provided the Telemanagement NGOSS Steering committee with a secured access to a Web Rule Builder, enabling users to add and change the compliance policies without any coding.

You can see the application on the TeleManagement Forum website.

More details are available in the press release posted on ILOG's website.

TeleManagement World Catalyst Showcase
As an active TMF member, ILOG is demonstrating an implementation of OSS/J through the Plug and Play IP Services Management Catalyst project, as part of the Plug and Play IP Services Management NGOSS through the OSS/J TMF catalyst project. Other participants include BEA Systems, BT, Convergys, Motorola, Nortel Networks, Oracle, PwC Consulting, Lumos and Sun Microsystems.

ILOG JRules correlates alarms and performance indicators with SLA and customer information. Depending on correlation rules, the ILOG module can generate OSS/J-compliant trouble tickets, processed by EAI workflow, to automate reconfiguration of IP network elements.

Thanks to ILOG JRules XML binding and J2EE compliance, the SLA/QoS module has been quickly developed and integrated through the OSS/J API.

Through our partner Lumos (Micromuse), ILOG JTGO visualizes IP network topology.
