Map Displays
Maps display information connected to geographic locations. They can be color coded by region to show some attribute of that area, and they can be overlaid with more sophisticated symbols that are spatially georeferenced. For example, a country map might be overlaid with charts located on each of its cities, showing demographic information for each city.
ILOG Elixir's Map Displays are ideally suited for easily creating interactive map displays. Developers can use its pre-packaged maps or import one of their own. They can then color-code the map by region or overlay it with other Adobe Flex controls. The resulting component can be incorporated alongside other components to form a sophisticated dashboard display.
