The Business Rule Guided Editor is a point-and-click editor that enables you to build rules by entering text or numbers in fields, or by selecting items from drop-down lists.

When you create a business rule, the Intellirule Editor opens by default. To switch to the Business Rule Guided Editor:

  1. Save the rule and close the Intellirule Editor.
  2. In the Rule Explorer right-click the business rule and select Open With > Guided Editor.

    General Information 
    Provides the name and type of the business rule. 
    Category Filter 
    Provides the list of categories defined as a category filter and the option to Edit them.  
    Documentation 
    Allows you to edit the documentation of the business rule.  
    Code 
    Allows you to edit the variable definitions and the if, then, and else parts of the business rule.
