ILOG JRules User Guide > Managing Rule Execution Server > Tasks > Administering Rule Execution Server > Management without the Rule Execution Server Console

The Rule Execution Server Console enables you to manage the execution of your rules. In addition to this Web interface, JRules provides a framework to administrate Rule Execution Server in a number of ways.

Whether or not you need to configure the execution stack will depend on your application and the complexity of your production environment. The Execution Unit (XU) is packaged with a number of default values, but these properties can be changed to meet the needs of your application and the execution context.
