Creating New Scenario Suites

A scenario suite is composed of a list of scenarios and a KPI to apply to the scenario execution results. To define a scenario suite, select from the list of available scenarios and select a KPI.

Only those scenarios that are executable, that is, fully defined, can be members of a scenario suite.

To define a new scenario suite:

  1. Click the Scenario Suites tab to display the Suite Navigator and Scenario Suite Browser.
  2. Click Create a new suite at the bottom of the scenario suite list to open the Scenario Suite Builder displaying a blank suite template.
  3. Enter a Name and a Description for the suite in the text fields.
    4. At this point, the scenario suite has been created, and you can navigate away from the Scenario Suite Builder page without losing the new suite.
  4. Enter the name of a Folder, including a path to a subfolder if necessary, into which to organize the new scenario suite. The new suite will be located in the specified folder in the Suite Navigator:

  5. Select the scenarios to include in the suite by checking them in the Scenarios Available list and clicking Add Selected Scenarios.
    Tip
    The Allow Duplicates option, when inactive, ensures that scenarios are added to scenario suites only once. When this option is checked on, you can include scenarios more than once in the same suite.
  6. Select a KPI from the drop-down Key Performance Indicator list.
  7. Click Save to save the scenario suite.

To remove a scenario from the suite definition, click Remove in the row of the scenario. To remove multiple scenarios, click their checkboxes in the left column of the table, and click Remove Selected Items.

When you have finished creating the scenario suite, you can execute it by clicking Launch in the Scenario Suite Edit box.
