Applications and ILOG JRules Performance

Applications that require rigorous performance include:

Transaction processing--uses asynchronous communication and requires bursts of transactions to be pushed through.
Online services--uses synchronous communication and has human-system interaction, which needs to support a large number of concurrent users, requires short response time, and may involve database access.
Batch processing--uses offline processing, dedicated machine/time slots assigned for tasks, and involves database access.
