What is the Samples Console

To deploy Rule Execution Server and/or Rule Team Server on a supported application server other than the supplied Samples Server, see Installing JRules Modules.

The Samples Console provides a simple graphical interface that enables you to build and run JRules code samples that run outside of Rule Studio. It offers a convenient alternative to using Ant directly from the command line. The Samples Console also allows you to manage the Samples Server. The Samples Server is required for many of the samples, and displays traces produced by both the server and the samples.

Use the Samples Console to:

explore the samples hierarchy
view documentation pages for each sample
stop and restart the Samples Server
run available Ant targets to build and execute the samples
specify Ant target properties
display all traces produced by the server and the samples in a resizable window

The Samples Server starts automatically when you start the Samples Console and pre-deploys the Rule Execution Server.
