This section explains how to use the Designer for ILOG JViews Diagrammer to start developing an ILOG JViews Diagrammer diagram component for your application, based on an example: a genealogical tree.

When you want to develop a graphical application, you can first develop your diagram component in the Designer for JViews Diagrammer and then incorporate it in an application within your favorite IDE.
