It is quite probable that if you are reading this message, you have already installed the ILOG JViews Product. This section will help you make sure you can run all the applets, applications, and server-side examples, and also help you compile and run your own code. ILOG JViews is based on the Java platform 2. To run an ILOG JViews client application, you need a Java platform 2 compatible Runtime Environment. To run an ILOG JViews server-side application within the provided Tomcat server, you need to run Tomcat with a Java 2 SDK installation (see http://java.sun.com/j2se). To see an ILOG JViews sample applet, you need to have the Java Plug-in installed in your browser (see http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/).

In order to compile an ILOG JViews program you need to have the appropriate ILOG JViews libraries in the Java classpath. All the neccesary libraries can be found in the lib directory. Refer to the Distribution Structure for more information.
Note that if you are using an IDE, the installation of the ILOG JViews libraries in this IDE is highly IDE dependent. Please refer to the documentation of your IDE.
