This section explains the relationship between what you are allowed to do according to your licensing agreement and what Java License Manager (JLM) does to verify compliancy.
The JLM verifies that the licensed ILOG products are used and deployed in conformance with the license keys provided by ILOG. The license condition verification procedure is implemented by means of a Java software key management and key verification procedure embedded in the licensed ILOG products. The products issue notifications informing you whether or not the license keys are being used correctly and can, in the appropriate circumstances, stop the application from working.
You should not just read the license key file to understand the usage rights granted by your agreement with ILOG. Indeed, the keys cannot always reflect the subtleties of some agreements, they simply help you to notice situations that are illegal. To know the rights bound to your agreement, read your license certificate at http://license.ilog.com..
