Simplifying the Polygons in a Layer

To add a simplified layer in the Map Layers pane:

  1. Right click a layer in the Map Layers pane and select Create Simplified Layer from the shortcut menu. The Simplified Polygons window opens, see Figure 3.23.

  1. In the Simplified Polygons window, set the distance threshold.
  2. Click OK. A new layer appears in the Map Layers pane.
