ILOG JViews TGO provides contextual information and services that can be shared by a number of components in the broad sense of the term, that is, graphic components, data sources, and adapters. This common information can be accessed through a class that defines the application context, or in short, the context.

This section explains what the application context and the deployment descriptor are, and how to use them. The services that can be deployed through them are described in detail in the second section, The Context Services.
