ILOG Views lets you take advantage of the component-based development by letting
you create your own ActiveXs/OCXs. In this demonstration, a specific ActiveX has
been created using the advanced graphic features of ILOG Views. It was then integrated
in the Visual Basic development environment and used to build the application. This
ActiveX component can be used easily in other applications.
This demo shows an ActiveX developed with ILOG Views. The component
controls the upper part of the main window (the aircraft map) and the overview
window. The bottom part of the main window is the standard Visual Basic control
table. Operations processed on the aircraft map are dispatched to the table,
and vice-versa. Communication between the Visual Basic table and the ActiveX
is based on the COM protocol.
