What is C-LinX?
C-LinX is ILOG's exclusive customer reference program. C-LinX is designed to help you showcase the solutions you developed with ILOG software and share your unique knowledge and perspective with others. The program focuses on innovation, highlighting your challenges, how you solved them and the results you achieved. The purpose is to convey the innovation of your solution to a broad audience through a range of marketing and press activities in which you and your company participate.
What does it mean to be a reference?
As an ILOG reference, you would act as an advocate for ILOG's products by participating in reference activities that suit both your goals and ours. You will receive points each time you complete a reference activity. We have activities at all levels of participation that qualify for points. You participate at the level you like, and we will do all the promotional leg work, looking after your best interests. For a few examples of these activities, check out our reference portfolio.
How do I get started?
You may be able to participate in one or all of the reference activities we propose as part of the C-LinX program. Nominate your company for reference opportunities or call your reference program manager to learn more about your preferred activities. Participation in C-LinX only requires your agreement to act as a participant in specified ILOG reference activities.
How will I benefit from acting as a reference for ILOG?
Our customers advocate on our behalf because they believe in our products and have found success with them. By participating in C-LinX, you draw positive exposure to you, your team and your company as technology leaders and innovators. You may expand your professional network by leveraging the relationships you make with press, analysts, and industry contacts with C-LinX. You also capture significant attention from ILOG executives and get insights into our technologies through regular interaction with ILOG's product teams.
How does the point system work?
Part of the program involves a points recognition system where you earn points through specific, completed reference activities. Each reference activity is awarded a set point value. The more activities you participate in, the more points you earn. When you earn enough points, you can redeem them for the credit of your choice: either ILOG training, ILOG Professional Services or free passes to ILOG user meetings. C-LinX points are redeemable only after you complete your first reference activity. Your points will expire after 12 months, upon completion of your first reference activity. As long as you remain an ILOG customer, your points are valid for that year. The C-LinX team will send you a reminder prior to the expiration of your points. Does being an ILOG reference require a lot of time and energy?
Your involvement is determined by your schedule and preferences. ILOG will protect your time as a participant, and carefully manage your availability for our reference activities. Your reference program manager will ensure you are not overtaxed or contacted too often, and will shield you from unwanted requests.
Am I likely to be overwhelmed with requests for reference calls?
We screen all reference call requests and strictly limit the number of calls you can receive. ILOG’s sales professionals are trained to use published customer information as much as possible, and to limit reference calls to the final stages of the sales cycle. We are developing a database of recorded interviews with customer references, using questions most likely to be asked. These interviews are only made available to qualified prospects.
Will I be given an opportunity to review and approve each reference activity before it is implemented?
Yes. ILOG values you both as a reference and as a customer, and we will make every effort to ensure you receive an opportunity to check our work before it goes public. We will showcase your successes and innovative practices without disclosing confidential information. We give your organization full visibility, and only implement your activities with your approval. We will not share your information without your consent.
What can I do if my company does not allow me to publicly endorse other companies or their products?
ILOG offers several opportunities for you to highlight your achievements. For example, our user groups allow you to interact with others who have developed solutions using our software, and they provide the opportunity to present your solution. You may provide information for internal company communications such as articles, papers, or blogs. You will have the chance to speak one-to-one or confidentially with prospective customers or analysts under a nondisclosure agreement. You can still share your success, make your contacts, and earn your redeemable points.
